Calling all BLACK faith-based poets πππ£οΈ
Calling all BLACK faith-based poets πππ£οΈ (faiths include but are not limited to Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, African Spirituality, etc.)
BIPOCRYPHA Magazine, which I founded, is now accepting submissions of poetry from Black creatives for our inaugural edition, "Sound and Spirit."
BIPOCRYPHA Magazine is an online literary and arts publication dedicated to the exploration and celebration of the rich tapestry of spiritual beliefs and practices within the African diaspora. We invite contributors to delve into the profound depths of faith, resilience, and the persistent flame of hope that burns bright even amidst hardship.
We long to hear your deeply moving spirituals, your soaring canticles, your resonant paeans, and your divinely inspired prophecies. Bring the music with each letter, each note a joyful addition to the new, harmonious sound we create together. We eagerly await the diverse voices and perspectives that will enrich our pages.
We welcome original, unpublished and previously published poetry from established and emerging creatives 18 years and older. Just ensure you have permission from the original publication to republish it and let us know in your submission where it was originally published.
Payment: BIPOCRYPHA Magazine compensates writers for their work! Payment is contingent on grant funding.
Anyone interested in this opportunity is to follow the steps in this document and email us at bipocrypha@gmail.com by September 30, 2025, for the chance to be published in our inaugural issue! Only 10 spots available!
